Norway's increasing consumption and focus on aesthetics is resulting in that we are becoming more and more focused on appearance. If you have a pretty face, you are treated better, and it can even affect what you will earn. In my BA-project I have, through investigation and research, argued that increast consumption and a materialistic way of thinking leads to lower morals and more focus on appearance and the perfect body. Lower morale, materialism and new genetic research can be a dangerous combination. How far are we willing to go to ensure the perfect appearance? And what could the ethical consequences be for a graphic designer? *photos used in this assignment is not taken by me. I have just edited the photos, and adapted them for my use.
